Overview

What is QRDinesOS

A direct answer, for anyone new to the product — and for the answer engines that get asked this specifically.

QRDinesOS is a multi-tenant restaurant operating system built for Indian food businesses. It connects guest ordering, POS billing, kitchen fulfilment, floor service, payments, inventory, loyalty, staff, reports, franchise operations, integrations, and approval-controlled operational agents in one restaurant record.

It is made by Cognoro Technologies, a small software company in Chandigarh, India. It is sold direct to restaurants, per outlet, per month, in Indian Rupees.

What it does

For guests

A menu that opens instantly on your phone when you point the camera at a table QR. Guests can search, filter for dietary needs, select variants, add notes, order in multiple rounds, follow kitchen status, call for service, view the running bill, and open an amount-filled UPI payment intent. The same guest flow also supports takeaway, direct delivery, room service, and vehicle-number ordering.

For kitchens

A large-type kitchen display with new-ticket alerts, preparation timers, course hold-and-fire controls, station routing, ETA changes, dietary context, and a public pickup-token view. Kitchen staff can mark an item sold out and queue supported status changes during a temporary network interruption.

For waiters

A role-scoped phone view for assigned tables, active sessions, elapsed seating time, running totals, and guest service calls. Staff can add a fresh kitchen round, transfer a table, merge a party, and resolve requests without receiving access to owner settings.

For cashiers and managers

A POS and statutory billing workflow for dine-in, takeaway, delivery, room service, and counter orders. It supports GST calculations, FSSAI and GSTIN invoice data, discounts, tips, service charge, split bills, void authorization, cash and UPI records, opening float, petty cash, denomination counting, variance, and end-of-shift Z-reports.

For owners

A control room for menus, QR assets, floor layouts, staff access, orders, bills, customer history, loyalty, recipes, stock, suppliers, purchase orders, attendance, payroll calculations, daily closing, historical reporting, and compliance settings. Menu photographs can be read on-device or sent to an optional configured AI reader, and every extracted item is reviewed before publication.

For groups and franchises

Authorized group operators can provision an outlet from a master, clone selected menu and floor data, apply regional pricing, synchronize chosen menu changes, and compare revenue, orders, kitchen speed, and menu mix without removing each outlet's tenant isolation.

For operational agents

The Owner Ops agent reads trusted sales, delay, discount, void, feedback, and stock records to create a prioritized daily brief. It can prepare registered actions such as a temporary menu pause or a purchase-order draft, but unknown actions fail closed and governed actions remain behind owner approval, budgets, leases, and audit logs.

What it is not

QRDinesOS is not a food-delivery marketplace, a bank or payment processor, a card reader, a full accounting suite, or a statutory payroll-filing service. Razorpay settlement, automated WhatsApp, thermal hardware, AI inference, and aggregator traffic each require the relevant credentials, configuration, certification, or on-site validation before live use.

Connectivity and offline behaviour

The platform is cloud based, so new guest orders and server-confirmed financial actions require a connection. The kitchen and waiter apps can queue supported status updates during a short interruption and replay them idempotently after reconnecting. Restaurants should still keep a practical connectivity fallback for a prolonged outage.

Who uses it

Independent restaurants, cafés, bars, dhabas, drive-ins, bakeries, food courts, cloud kitchens, hotel outlets, and growing multi-outlet groups. The browser-based operating surfaces suit teams without a dedicated IT department, while enterprise controls cover API access, franchise operations, and external integrations.

What it costs

A permanent free plan (QR ordering + kitchen screen, up to 2 tables), then ₹599/month for the Starter plan (up to 8 tables), ₹1,799/month for Pro (up to 30 tables), and ₹4,999/month for Enterprise. Yearly at ten months for twelve. All per outlet, exclusive of tax. Full detail on the pricing page.
